Strategic Partnership Expands Digital Wallet Capabilities
Samsung has partnered with ticketing infrastructure company Nuweb Group to integrate event ticketing capabilities into Samsung Wallet. The collaboration makes Nuweb Group the first global ticketing launch partner as Samsung expands its digital wallet functionality into live events.
Users across Nuweb Group's network of ticketing partners can now store event tickets alongside payment cards and memberships in Samsung Wallet. Samsung smartphone users making event bookings through Nuweb Group will be able to add tickets directly using the 'Add to Samsung Wallet' functionality.
Enhanced User Experience Features
The integration provides real-time engagement capabilities, including push notifications one hour before events and automatic updates if events are cancelled or postponed. This ensures ticket holders always have valid tickets ready in their wallet.

Nuweb Group partners can include up to two additional barcodes or QR codes for extras such as parking or food vouchers alongside the main event ticket. Samsung Wallet also works with other content from Samsung partners, giving event goers one-swipe access to tickets, travel passes and identification cards.
Market Expansion Opportunities
The partnership creates opportunities for Nuweb Group's ticketing partners to extend their customer reach among Samsung smartphone users. "As Samsung Wallet continues to expand in the ticketing space, we're excited to see our partnership with a global ticketing player, Nuweb Group, go live," said Teg Dosanjh, VP, Mobile D2C Sales and Services, Samsung Europe.

Dosanjh noted that millions of fans worldwide buying tickets to Nuweb-powered events will now be able to add their tickets to Samsung Wallet. Samsung has committed to building experiences through open partnerships to ensure platform access for as many people as possible since launching Samsung Wallet.
