Milestone Achievement

David has reached the halfway point of his 30 marathons in 30 days charity challenge, completing 15 consecutive marathons covering 393 miles from Isle of Skye to Clitheroe. The challenge has raised over £10,000 plus £1400 Gift Aid for mental health charities.

Route Challenges

The journey has faced significant logistical challenges, with route plans changing daily due to snow, rain, intense winds, slippery roads, and busy traffic. David's support team, including drivers Debs, Gavin and Jarrod, have had to create alternative paths in real time as they cover marathon distances across the country.

Supporting Causes

The challenge, which began on 1 April in the Isle of Skye, aims to raise funds for three charities: events and entertainment charity Backup Tech, MIND and Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH). The campaign focuses on raising awareness about mental health challenges faced across the events and entertainment industry and wider society.

Community Response

David's daily video diary has brought people together beyond the road, with supporters sharing their own stories and mental health challenges. The campaign has generated momentum as David continues his journey south towards London, with donations continuing to roll in from the community.

Upcoming Events

Support events are planned to accompany the remaining 15 marathons. A gathering is scheduled for Thursday 23 April at All Bar One, Brindley Place in Birmingham. Additionally, a London finale event is planned for 30 April, marking the completion of the 30-day challenge.
