Canada Olympic House Production Details
The Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games featured over 30 hospitality houses organized by National Olympic Committees throughout the city. Canada Olympic House, designed and produced by Mosaic North America for the Canadian Olympic Committee, served as a meeting place for athletes, their families, friends, brand partners, sponsors and fans.
Greg Wamsley, vice president of operations and sustainability lead at Mosaic North America, explained the venue's purpose as giving athletes "a home away from home" while providing space for gatherings with loved ones and supporters. The project involved navigating long lead times and procurement challenges typical of global, landmark events.
Air Canada Flight Deck Activation
One notable partner activation within Canada Olympic House was the Air Canada Flight Deck, developed by Wasserman as part of a broader Paris 2024 campaign. Alyson Walker, senior vice president of brands and properties at Wasserman, outlined the airline's multipronged approach.
"For this Games, Air Canada's focus was really about every boarding pass as a connection. We worked on making sure [that narrative] weaved its way through each of those phases of the Games and how they showed up," Walker said. The campaign included athlete send-off and welcome-home airport celebrations, employee engagement moments and fan experiences.
"We really loved to focus on sharing the very best of Canada and, in this case, the world. Air Canada is a real connector of sport, culture and people," Walker added.
Paris 2024 Sustainability and Venue Integration
Wamsley praised the Paris 2024 experience, highlighting sustainability innovations and the integration of Olympic events into historical venues throughout the city. These elements distinguished the Games' approach to event production and venue utilization.
Looking Ahead to Milano-Cortina 2026 and Los Angeles 2028
Both Walker and Wamsley offered predictions for upcoming Olympic Games. For Milano-Cortina 2026, they speculated about how high fashion might influence the Winter Olympics presentation. Los Angeles 2028 could showcase technology and sustainability advances.
Milano-Cortina organizers announced the official "Look of the Games" last month, grounded in "Italian spirit" for the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. Work is already underway for both the 2026 and 2028 Games.
