Leadership Continuity for Events Advocacy
The All-Party Parliamentary Group for Events has re-elected Martin Rhodes, Labour MP for Glasgow North, as its Chair following its Annual General Meeting held on Tuesday 14th April 2026 at Portcullis House, Westminster. The reappointment ensures continued parliamentary support for the UK's events sector.
Officer Appointments
Alongside Rhodes' re-election, three MPs were confirmed as the group's Officers. James Asser, Labour MP for West Ham and Beckton, Douglas McAllister, Labour MP for West Dunbartonshire, and Jack Rankin, Conservative MP for Windsor, will support the Chair in directing the APPG's activities.
The meeting was chaired by Emma Lewell, Labour Member of Parliament for South Shields, serving as Independent Chair.
