Eleven Learning Tracks Address Industry Evolution

IMEX Frankfurt has launched its education program for May 19-21, featuring eleven tracks designed to help event professionals develop adaptability and resilience. The free program addresses technology, wellbeing, ESG, and climate risk issues that are reshaping the business event landscape.

Event professionals at all career levels can mix and match sessions to build personalized learning journeys. The program is housed in a redesigned Hall 9, called the Inspiration Hub, which hosts over 200 learning sessions.

Featured Sessions Span Multiple Disciplines

The program includes sessions on measuring joy's impact on event outcomes, with Gathering Point's David Adler moderating a discussion between Zenus CEO Panos Moutafis and Frances Vieras Blanc from Eat the Cake Studio. Sofya Abramchuk, founder of Originate Institute and former Head of Design at the Gaudí Foundation, will present on nature-inspired, human-centered approaches adapted from Gaudí's principles.

Mental health receives focus through a collaborative session led by Grae Matta Foundation's Dr Ferron Gray, aimed at shaping a global mental health standard for the events industry. Rajeev Kohli from Creative Travel India & Beyond and Amanda Lampe from Business Events Sydney will discuss legacy-driven project lessons.

Elena Fis and Iva Popova from Kenes Group will demonstrate how social media and sustainability can transform event engagement. The Design Council's Matthew Burgess will moderate a session with Julia Uherek from Messe Frankfurt on regenerative design thinking, particularly relevant as Frankfurt RheinMain was named World Design Capital 2026.

Technology and Research Integration

Conrad Mills from Forrester will examine AI adoption rates for events and unveil key trends from the 2026 State of Events Survey. IMEX continues partnering with Snapsight, Gevme's AI-powered tool, to provide quick access to session takeaways through the IMEX app, allowing attendees to remain engaged without note-taking.

Over 80% of last year's attendees rated the education as high quality and highly relevant, according to Explori's survey. Most sessions confer points toward Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), ICCASkills accreditations, and Certified Special Event Professional (CSEP) Approval.

Specialist events for association and corporate planners take place on Monday, May 18. Registration for IMEX Frankfurt remains free, with a first-timers welcome session scheduled for the opening day.
