Partnership Extended to 2030
IMEX and Messe Frankfurt have signed a multi-year agreement extending their collaboration from 2026 to 2030 for the IMEX Frankfurt trade show. The agreement continues a partnership that began with the show's launch more than 20 years ago.
"We are delighted to have signed a new multi-year agreement with Messe Frankfurt for the period from 2026 to 2030," says Mark Mulligan, IMEX's Director of Operations. "Frankfurt is where the IMEX story began with the launch of our very first show more than 20 years ago. By working closely with the Messe Frankfurt team and our other partners across the city, we've strengthened the show's role as a catalyst for innovation, collaboration and positive impact across our sector."
Strong Performance and Dual Role
IMEX Frankfurt has been held annually at Messe Frankfurt since 2003. The 2025 edition attracted over 13,000 international visitors to Frankfurt, including over 4,000 buyers for meetings and events, and 2,900 exhibiting companies from around the world.
Messe Frankfurt plays a dual role at the show, serving as both host location and exhibitor. Michael Biwer, Vice President Guest Events, Messe Frankfurt, adds: "Our long-standing collaboration with IMEX shows what can be achieved through partnership. We create an environment in Frankfurt that offers international organizers the best conditions for exchange, development and sustainable growth."
'Design Matters' Theme for 2026
The 2026 edition of IMEX Frankfurt is scheduled for May 19-21 in Halls 8 and 9. In keeping with Frankfurt's status as World Design Capital 2026, the central theme will be 'Design Matters'. The show will feature inspiring ideas, networking events and education sessions for exhibitors and trade visitors from around the world.
