Strategic Appointments Drive Growth

Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) has appointed three senior staff members across sales and food and beverage operations as part of its growth strategy. Josh Campey joins as Head of Corporate Sales, Paul Hood as Executive Chef for EICC Nourish, and Caroline Bacigalupo as General Manager of EICC Nourish.

Corporate Sales Focus

Campey brings a decade of hospitality and events experience from his previous role at The Caledonian, Edinburgh. His appointment reflects the venue's focus on the corporate market, capitalising on Edinburgh's growing reputation as a hub for financial services, technology, and renewable energy sectors.

"What excites me most is the opportunity to join an organisation with such a strong global reputation and to play a key role in shaping its next chapter of growth," Campey said. "EICC is already recognised as a world-class venue, so stepping into this role is about building on that success, strengthening existing relationships and driving new opportunities within the corporate market."

Catering Leadership

Caroline Bacigalupo, with over twenty years in Scottish hospitality, will lead the venue's sustainability-focused catering service. During her tenure as Head of Operations at Heritage Portfolio, she participated in the Jobs First pilot programme funded by Social Bite, supporting people affected by homelessness back into employment.

Executive Chef Paul Hood brings 25 years of culinary experience, including collaborations with Scottish Michelin-star chef Tom Kitchin and managing kitchen operations at Holyrood Palace's Royal Garden parties for up to 8,000 guests. Hood champions local produce and combines top-to-tail cookery with a sustainable, plant-forward approach.

Growth Strategy

Amanda Wrathall, Chief Executive Officer of the EICC, emphasised the significance of these appointments. "Josh, Caroline and Paul join EICC at an important point in our journey, and these are significant senior appointments for the business. Each brings substantial expertise and a strong track record of delivering commercial growth, building lasting client relationships and operating at scale within complex, high performing environments."
